Many Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer

The SCBC wouldn't exist without an army of dedicated volunteers, and this year we are looking to expand the number of volunteers from outside our local club.  If you are riding in the backroad challenge and your spouse, son, daughter, parent or friend doesn’t ride, they can still join you for the day by helping with registration, a rest stop, traffic control, SAG support, etc. All volunteers receive a cool SCBC staff t-shirt and free meal. To volunteer on ride day or before the event, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Dave Hansen, 707-953-4060 or dwhansen@sonic.net. Your donation of time will be greatly appreciated.

Vendor and Exhibitor Opportunities

If your business or organization is interested in exhibiting at the Backroad Fest, here are the basics:

  • A standard space is 15’ x 15’
  • Cost is $100 per space
  • You provide all necessary tables, canopy, signage, etc.
  • We will provide a 110 VAC electrical outlet if requested in advance
  • Morning (6–10 AM) Location: Check-in and start of ride are at 1200 Redwood Way, Petaluma
  • Afternoon (Noon – 6 PM) Location: Finish line and Backroad Fest are at Lagunitas Brewery, 1280 N McDowell Blvd, Petaluma (AM and PM locations are approximately ¼ mile apart.  See MAP below.)
  • Vendors may sell cycling-related merchandise and services only (call if you are interested in being a food vendor)
  • Step 1, Approval: Contact Festival Coordinator, Jeff England, at (707) 799-4800, or Jeff.England@comcast.net
  • Step 2, Reserve: Mail check to Petaluma Sunrise Rotary Foundation; PO Box 101, Petaluma CA 94953. Your payment reserves your space. Include your phone number and email address. We will confirm receipt.
